In this piece we witness two people taking their first steps in a world that has been turned upside down. They struggle to find a secure footing, figure out where they stand in this new place where nothing is even remotely familiar.

Menningarfélagið (Culture Comp.) was founded in the summer of 2007. The group has changed through the years and currently consists of two dance artists Ásgeir Helgi Magnússon and Inga Maren Rúnarsdóttir, composer Lydía Grétarsdóttir and video artist Júlíanna Lára Steingrímsdóttir, who also handles costumes and stage design. Menningarfélagið has produced three dance pieces and three dance films.
Ásgeir Helgi Magnússon is a dancer and choreographer. He graduated from The Iceland Academy of the Arts and is currently working with The Iceland Dance Company and Shalala, the company of Erna Ómarsdóttir.
Inga Maren Rúnarsdóttir studied at The Place in the UK and with David Zambrano in Costa Rica. She is a dancer, choreographer and dance teacher and is currently working with The Iceland Dance Company.
Lydía is a musician and composer. She studied at The Iceland Academy of the Arts and at The Royal Conservatoire in The Hague. She has made numerous works for theater, dance and movies.
Júlíanna Lára studied at the Central Saint Martins in London. She is a video artist, stylist and designer. She has worked with Vesturport, Reykjavik City Theater, Pegasus and Saga Film.
